When two people form a connection, it creates something that didn’t exist for either of them prior. I think this can be true for materials as well. To position two unrelated objects together is often to create a third — albeit less definable — thing.  And often the hardware or other means of fastening these parts is yet another dimension of the whole. The “Assemblage” is the study of these relationships, and Fine Artists who work and thrive in this particular space inspire me most.
